Penstemon procerus is known by the common name littleflower penstemon, and is native to western North America from Alaska to California to Colorado, as far east in Canada as Manitoba. The flowers are made up of clusters of tubular flowers with lipped, lobed mouths, and purple to blue in color. The inside may be lined with white or yellowish hairs. It copes with a range of situations, but requires a well-drained soil in full or partial sun. Blooms July through September.
